OK. I know that sounds like a very nerdy thing to do. But it works...
Traveling can be full of emotions: excitement and stress are the ends of the spectrum.
That ultimately means you have a lot on your plate.
By my nature, I am a list maker. It helps me not to have to think about what to do after I write it down. I can just check things off as I go along and nothing slips through the cracks.
I use the same principle for trips.
There are a lot little things you can leave behind on a trip that if you would have checked it off your list as you prepared to pack, those things would be in your suitcase!
Have you taken a beach trip, remembered your swimsuit (of course), even the sunblock and sun hat...but forgot your flip flops?
What about a weekend trip to your parents' house for Easter. Did you forget they the Easter presents for your niece and nephew?
I tell you it's the little things that you're likely to forget, so as soon as you book your trip, start a packing list.

I've been doing it for years. My mom taught me that. Definitely works!
