Here, an interview we did while driving to a shoot in Columbia recently…
Dani: Thanks for
letting me interview you!
Morgan: No, thank
you for getting up at the crack of dawn to travel to this shoot with me.
Dani: Of course!
You know I’m yours anytime. We spend so much time shooting together it feels
kind of funny interviewing you. We work with so many different models – is
there a specific look your camera is attracted to?
Read on for more...
Morgan: Actually,
no. There is beauty in everyone, whether they are tall and willowy or carry a
bit of extra weight. It’s all in how they carry and present themselves.
Model: ~Gwendolyn~ Makeup: Dani Lazaro
Dani: What about
facial features? Is there one you find the most beautiful?
Morgan: Oh yes! I
think the eyes have it! You can say so much with your eyes – whether you’re
happy, sad, whatever. Your eyes are an expression of who you
are.
Model: Liz Peavy Makeup: Dani Lazaro
Dani: Let’s
discuss trends. Any current beauty trends you’re into?
Morgan: No, I
pretty much like everything, from Old Hollywood to Avant Garde. There’s not any
one thing that I follow.
Model: Ericka Makeup: Dani Lazaro
Dani: Any current
trends you don’t like?
Morgan: Other
than pants down to the ankles? When I am shooting I make people look how I
envision them, so what they wear on the street makes no difference to me.
Dani: Any famous
women you find particularly stunning?
Morgan: Well…Angelina
Jolie, of course. I think Halle Berry is the most beautiful woman I’ve ever
seen. She’s absolutely perfect.
Model: Gnoissienne Makeup: Dani Lazaro
Dani: There’s
something I find true of all artists – we find beauty in the strangest things.
What are you inspired by?
Morgan: I’m
inspired by other people’s work, their vision. By the people who have gone
before us. My inspiration can come from anywhere – from the shade of a flower
to a building with great lines.
Model: J'Melange Makeup: Dani Lazaro
Dani: What is the
most important thing a woman can do to feel beautiful?
Morgan: Be
confident in who she is. You can do anything to your hair or face but if you
don’t confidently wear it, it doesn’t really matter.
